Electro-Oxy-Coagulation … usingDraynZap …
DraynZap is process technology for water treatment, whereby using an electric field, contaminants and impurities in industrial and domestic effluents are removed. The DraynZap treatment system represents a major advancement in wastewater treatment whereby a revolutionary electrical-based technology for effectively treating complex waste streams economically and on-site.
Electrochemical Reactor based Sewage/Effluent Treatment (Ozone) Plant (Electrocoagulation) an electro-chemically ozonated wastewater management solution
Electro-oxidation: Oxidation of Hydrocarbons & other chemicals by using electrical energy. Electrical energy helps to break the HC bonds & form CO2, H2O, SO2, N2
HC- + O2 ===== H2O + CO2
NH+ + O2 ===== N2 + H2O
H2S + O2 ===== H2O + SO2
Electro coagulation: Coagulation is agglomeration of suspended particles to form heavy sludge. Can be done by chemicals. Our product use metallic ions for easier/faster & efficient coagulation. Reaction is non- reversible due to high energy intensity. The air bubbles try to lift the foamy sludge to the top for separation. Settling over period of time form sludge at the bottom.

DraynZap is a continuous flow or batch process Electrochemical Reactor designed to treat sewage water and industrial effluents.
one of the advanced Electrochemical Reactor technology based techniques is the Electrocoagulation (EC) process.
Electrocoagulation (EC)
DraynZap … Electrocoagulation (EC)
Electrocoagulation (EC) the passing of electric current through water, has proven very effective in the removal of contaminants from water. Miniaturization of the requisite power supplies and enhancing their efficiency has made it one of the most affordable and proficient water treatment processes around the world.
EC drastically reduces the use of chemical reagents. Thus, apart from reducing operational costs, the process also does away with the extra safeguards required for storing and handling these reagents.
DraynZap’s – Electrocoagulation (EC) … process technology accepts a wider range of wastewater variants with varied pH levels
It is less complicated and capable of self-monitoring thus, extensive manual interface is eliminated
DraynZap is a water treatment process whereby an electric field is applied across plates to remove various contaminants from water. Current is applied to the electrolytic cell plates causing trace amounts of the plate material to be dissolved into the water. The action is similar to adding separation chemicals (polymers) to a chemical treatment system but much less expensive.
Influent | DraynZap in Process | Net Result |
Raw Effluent | 5 – 20 minutes | 30 minutes sttling |
Coagulation – As previously defined, the electrical current and trace dissolved metals from the electrolytic cell plates, cause suspended matter to come together, forming larger particles.
Flotation – During the reaction in the cell housing, oxygen bubbles are formed and attached to the coagulated matter, causing it to rise to the surface in the separation tank where it is removed and transferred to the sludge holding tank. The air bubble separates from the separated contaminant allowing it to sink to the bottom of the sludge holding tank where it stays until it is properly disposed off as solid waste.
